Mukurtu collection management system - August 2012

In August 2012, NSTP partnered with Auckland War Memorial Museum and Te Rōpū Whakahau to bring Professor Kim Christian and Dr Michael Ashley from the United States to share information about Mukurtu collection mangagement system for indigenous communities.

Kaitiaki Hui 2009

This year's Kaitiaki Māori hui was held on 15 April, the non-conference workshop day of the Museums Aotearoa annual conference, in Gisborne. It was attended by twenty-five participants who were eager to see this forum develop into an opportunity for Kaitiaki Māori to share case studies, give presentations, and to discuss and gain feedback from their peers, as well as being a time to share issues and challenges.

More than 90 people attended the Preserving Māori culture & built heritage: Emerging Tribal Cultural Centres conference held in Rotorua on 4th and 5th March 2008.

National Hui on Taonga Database for Iwi

Presenters at a one-day, national hui of taonga database researchers explained in detail the purpose, depth and variability of taonga database projects that have already been undertaken by iwi and with support from National Services Te Paerangi.
