The International Council on Archives Congress is held every four years, and this is the first time it has been held in the southern hemisphere. As host organisation, the National Archives of Australia is confident that the Congress will provide an exciting and unique opportunity for archivists and information management professionals to engage with the world's leading theorists and practitioners. The conference will provide an international forum for discussion and scrutiny of the many topical archival and information issues of relevance to government, business, education, legislative, ethical and Indigenous sectors.
The opportunities include:
- submission of paper proposals and [participation in panel sessions and workshops. Paper proposals can be submitted online by 31 January 2012.
- Attendance at the Congress and active participation in discussion forums and question and answer sessions.
