The 4th Southern Curator's Seminar for Museum Professionals working in Smaller Museums, organised by Hokitika Museum and South Canterbury Museum with assistance from National Services Te Paerangi
A 2-day seminar and networking opportunity for paid workers in smaller museums (1-8 staff), where attendees can:
- Deliver short presentations on subjects of interest to the sector - could include, but not limited to, collections, exhibitions, collaborations, buildings, technology, and so forth.
- Discuss issues of mutual interest
- Meet colleagues, network and share knowledge
Who should attend?
Anyone working in a fulltime or nearly fulltime paid capacity, particularly in smaller museums (1-8 staff), or providing services to this part of the museum sector. Because of limited space, places are initially restricted to 2 staff per institution if registered by Sept 21, with additional places available for others after this date. The organisers reserve the right to allocate spaces according to relevance and need.
Cost: Likely to be around $75 - $100 per person (includes morning/afternoon teas, lunch, any venue costs, etc.)

Accommodation: Hokitika's fabulous Beachfront Hotel is supporting the seminar by offering fantastic rates on their new ocean view rooms. The special rate for ocean view rooms is $129 including breakfast for up to two people (incl GST) if bookings are made by 31st July (NOTE: we'll try and get them to extend this!).
