Survive & Thrive is Auckland's smart-thinking event for innovative people working in New Zealand's creative economy, and this year takes place at the University of Auckland Business School on 5 July. Survive & Thrive 2012 is an initiative of the Arts Regional Trust Te Taumata Toi-a-iwi | ART, in partnership with The Big Idea Te Aria Nui.
The 2012 event begins with the topic on everyone's mind: 'We need to talk about the future'.
Survive & Thrive challenges people to examine their creative practice or business across four strands of enquiry.
- Going Global - making it over there
- Site Pacific - anchored here
- For a Better World - sustainability in practice
- Becoming Viable - tips & tools
Within each strand you will be inspired by guest speakers, get down to business in workshops and connect with sector specialists, all keen to share their stories, tips and tools. An expo of sector organisations and service providers, networking sessions and entertainment throughout the day gives you even more to choose from. You can weave your way through the programme and customise your day to meet your needs.
Survive & Thrive is for makers and doers as well as businesses and organisations keen to explore how sustainable thinking in a creative sector context fuels success, viability and growth. http://www.thebigidea.co.nz/survive-thrive-2012
