Collections online - Museums Aotearoa conference 2010 

The 2010 Museums Aotearoa conference was held in New Plymouth 14-16 April. As part of the Professional Development Day on the 14 April Te Papa facilitated a session called Collections online. The session explored case studies from five different sized museums and art galleries and other tools that can be used to get your collections online.

Liz Dodd, Matamata Piako District Council

Liz is the museum advisor for Te Aroha Museum, Firth Tower Museum and Morrin Museum and spoke about getting highlights of the three museums collections in time for the NZMuseums website launch.

Fiona Moorhead, Vernon Systems Ltd (on behalf of Govett Brewster Art Gallery)

Fiona is currently a Systems Consultant at Vernon Systems Ltd, but last year worked on a contract at Govett Brewster Art Gallery to get their entire collection online.

Fiona is Project Manager at Digital New Zealand at the National Library of New Zealand and manages the business processes and various projects.
