Christen has recently completed a postgraduate diploma in Museum Studies through Massey University, and joins Te Papa as part of the Museum Graduate Internship Programme. She is a trained archaeologist and holds an Honours Degree in Anthropology from the University of Otago. Prior to her internship at Te Papa, Christen worked for several archaeological and heritage management organisations, including the New Zealand Historic Places Trust and the Department of Conservation.
Though currently based in Carterton, Christen is originally from Wellington and through her varied work and study experiences has had the opportunity to explore much of New Zealand. She enjoys researching her genealogy in her spare time.
Christen is looking forward to the challenges and opportunities of working as an intern with National Services Te Paerangi and aims to gain a greater knowledge and experience of the Museum Sector during her time here.
