What’s outside your front door?
Children from schools all over New Zealand took cameras out into their neighbourhoods to capture a scene in their everyday lives.
Can you see a fearsome haka, a Rubik’s Cube, or a secret swing in the forest? What would you take a photo of in your neighbourhood?
These photographers were all competition winners in the New Zealand Schools Photographic Competition 2008.
There were two sections with different themes; ‘Our people at work and play ‘and the ‘Science of Farming’. This year there was one thousand and two entries, with 91 schools participating.
To see the winning photographs, head down to NatureSpace Discovery Centre on Level 2 or to Inspiration Station on Level 4.
This exhibition was made possible by the NZ Schools Visual Arts Charitable Trust, and the Perry Foundation.
