Book launch

New Zealand Fashion Design was launched on 8 April 2010 in the lovely art deco Grand Tearoom at the Heritage Hotel, Auckland. Antonia Prebble (star of Outrageous Fortune) hosted the event which was attended by the designers featured in the book, numerous people from the New Zealand fashion world, media, and contributors.

Competition winner

The lucky winner of the New Zealand Fashion Design book competition is Angela Roper from Auckland. About the author

Angela Lassig’s current research interests include fashion and textile history in 19th and 20th century New Zealand. As senior curator of history at Te Papa, where she worked for eight years, she curated a number of fashion exhibitions.
