Find us at 55 Cable Street, Wellington – with parking and a friendly accessible environment. Get even more from your visit with a guided tour, a coffee in one of our cafes, and browse for a gift in our stores.

Free entry for New Zealanders and people living in New Zealand.

Charges may apply to international visitors, and paid exhibitions and experiences.

Note: Level 5 art galleries are currently closed for maintenance.

Tickets: International visitor museum entry

A museum entry ticket to Te Papa is NZ$35 for international visitors aged 16 years and older.

Entry to the museum will remain free for all New Zealanders and people living in New Zealand.

Getting here

In central Wellington you’re rarely more than 20 minutes’ walk from Te Papa. Public transport stops close to the museum, and we’re 15 minutes’ drive from the airport.
