There's never a shortage of things for kids to do at Te Papa. Have a look at our special kids-only calendar and see for yourself!

Build it, decorate it, whip it up! Craft it, collage it, colour it, add fur, teeth, googly eyes and grass. Watch it fly and race, make it look good and show it off at Te Papa!

A magical place for children aged 12 months to 5 years and their caregivers to explore New Zealand's natural environment through play and make-believe. Our session times are 9.30am, 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm, and 2.45pm. Subscribe to the StoryPlace newsletter.

Examine, explore, preserve and protect. In NatureSpace you can lift giant rocks, dive into a humongous heart and look at very tiny things way up close. Measure your ecological footprint, or spend some time getting familiar with some odd animals from our Spice of Life collection.

Haere mai ki Te Huka ā Tai! Come explore Te Ao Māori (the Māori world). Play with poi, dress up like a chief, or admire the wonderful artwork from Te Wharekura o Te Kaokaoroa o Pātetere.

In PlaNet Pasifika, you can relax in a Samoan fale, bang on our big drum or dress up like a mermaid and strum a ukuele. Of course, that's just a tiny drop in a huge ocean of what you could do, hanging out and taking in the cultures and people of the Pacific.
