Many of the portraits on display in Angels & Aristocrats depict garments beautifully adorned with lace.
Lace was one of the most sought-after accessories in the 16th and 17th centuries. But it was so time consuming and expensive to make that it was only available to the wealthy.
Join Wellington’s Faultline Lacemakers for a demonstration of this ancient and intricate craft.
