Join Walter Cook, a museum benefactor and gifted speaker, as he discusses the arrival of modernism in New Zealand with Te Papa curator Justine Olsen.

Walter donated his collection of decorative arts to Te Papa 21 years ago. An exhibition showcasing that collection, Walter Cook: A collector’s quest, is currently on show on Level 6.

This is the first in a series of talks exploring design that will take place in Ngā Toi | Arts Te Papa, our new, changing programme of art on Level 5. Join us on the second Thursday of each month.
