Support the Soup Kitchen

When: All December and January, all day
Where: Wellington Foyer, Level 2
Cost: Free entry

During December and January, Te Papa will be accepting donations of food for Wellington’s Soup Kitchen, run by the Suzanne Aubert Compassion Centre.

Staff at the kitchen say: ‘We offer a friendly welcome and assistance to people living on the margins. We welcome any person who wishes to come to the Soup Kitchen for a meal, or to talk with our staff. We serve a healthy breakfast and dinner six days per week, and provide our guests with opportunities to join in social forums, entertainment, and other activities. As well as food, we offer one-to-one advocacy, and help people to engage with specialist housing, budgeting, and health services. Our programmes and projects recognise skills, and offer opportunities for involvement with the wider community.’
