In this zui, kaimahi at the NZ Maritime Museum (NZMM) will talk about their Auckland Region digitisation outreach project to help culture and heritage organisations raise their digital capabilities.

Since the small team launched the project in February 2024, they have worked with the Warkworth & District Museum and the Charlotte Museum to embed a sustainable in-house digitisation workflow. During the year-long project, funded by the NZ Lottery Commission, the NZMM will support at least 5 small organisations in this way, tailored to their needs. The NZMM is looking for funding to continue the project in 2025 and possibly beyond!

At the zui, Digitisation Project Manager Heidi Schlumpf and Photographer Andrew Hales will talk about the goals of the project and share their methods, insights, challenges and wins, encountered so far.
