Huia mai ki runga o Rongomaraeroa, ka rumakina koe e te ao wānanga whakairo ki ngā toki a te Māori me Te Moana-nui-ā-Kiwa!

Ko Tāmihana Katene, rātou ko Trevor Lerm, ko Jon Misky, ko Matthew Tehau Randall ngā toki whakairo | ka whakakairo mataora nei. Whakatau mai, noho tahi mai ki te uiui ki te whāwhā atu i ētahi mahi me te kite mārire i ngā whakairo.


Ko te tū tētahi whakangahau nā Ruby Solly (Rāmere) rāua ko Jenny Taotua (Rāhoroi) ā te 11am, 12:30pm & 1pm.
Connect with our marae, Rongomaraeroa, and immerse yourself in Māori and Pacific art with a celebration of carvers!

Tāmihana Katene, Trevor Lerm, John Misky, and Matthew Tehau Randall others will be demonstrating whakairo live. Join us to see taonga up close, meet the artists, ask questions, and try your hand at some activities.

There will also be live performances by Ruby Solly (Friday) and Jenny Taotua (Saturday) at 11am, 12:30pm, and 1pm.

Ko te tū a Jerome Kavanagh ki te whakangahau (Rāhoroi ā te 11am, 12:30pm, me 1pm) rātou ko Virtuoso Strings (Rātapu ā te 1pm, me te 2pm)

Lewis Whaitiri, David Jones, Kohai Grace, Claire Butler, and Demelza Craig will demonstrate raranga live.

There will also be live performances from Jerome Kavanagh (Saturday 11am, 12:30pm, and 1pm) and Virtuoso Strings (Sunday, 1pm and 2pm).

Tatau & Tāmoko

Tāmoko and tatau practitioners Taryn Beri, Joni Brooking, Juse1, and others will be demonstrating their work live. Join us to meet the artists, ask questions, enjoy live performances, and try your hand at some activities.
