Audrey Eagle

Botanical artist Audrey Eagle (1925–2022) painted New Zealand’s native plants from 1952, culminating in the 2006 publication of her life’s work, Eagle’s Complete Trees and Shrubs of New Zealand, which won the prestigious Montana Medal for non-fiction in 2007. Audrey was awarded the CNZM for Services to Botanical Arts in the 2001 Queen's Birthday Honors and was conferred an honorary Doctorate of Science by the University of Otago in 2013. She lived in Dunedin.
