Guided by our educators, your early childhood group will:

  • explore the exhibition Tangata o le Moana: The story of Pacific people in New Zealand to learn about navigation, movement, and journeys

  • see the various vakaand wakaon display

  • contrast big and small things: the vast ocean and tiny islands, a waka tauaand models of vaka

  • discover what Pacific explorers used to navigate: tools, stars, animals, currents, islands

  • follow a trail through the exhibition, with tamariki taking turns as lead navigator.
