Method

We wanted to celebrate the children of Tangaroa and we chose to make an animated music video because it was the easiest and most fun way we could share the names of all the animals. In our video we used lots of repetition to make it easy for people to learn the words.

Challenge

Use the downloadable resources as inspiration to make your own creative response. We have included a video without lyrics which you could sing your own version of our waiata to (using the printable lyrics) or write your own waiata. We also included the audio track without lyrics to use with your own movie or animation. You could create your own art, performance or actions or make your own video about the amazing creatures of the sea from scratch.
