It will cover the essentials of audience engagement and impactful research including:

  • Audience segmentation: unpack how we can segment audiences to identify strategies for their engagement in experiences

  • Strategies for engagement: explore how we can shape experiences to maximise engagement with target audiences

  • Spectrum of audience impact: consider the type of impact the experience will have on the audience and frame audience outcomes

  • Measuring impact: ask meaningful questions to reveal how an experience resonated with target audiences and evaluate its success in achieving goals.

Dan is an Exhibition Experience Developer at Te Papa Tongarewa. She is responsible for creative concept development for exhibitions and oversight of interpretive approaches that captivate and engage diverse audiences.

Pawel is an Audience Insights Advisor at Te Papa Tongarewa. Trained in cultural anthropology, he investigates visitor experiences through audience research, helping to build connections between audiences and museums.
