Zui: Commemorating the New Zealand War through Education programmes
Join educators and curatorial kaimahi from Puke Ariki and Te Whare Taonga o Waikato to explore how their museum learning programmes engage with communities to commemorate and reflect on the New Zealand Wars.

This lunchtime zoom hui will provide an insight into remembrance, storytelling, and intergenerational learning within the museum context. The kōrero will also identify alignment with curriculum, and discuss school, kura and other education provider engagement.
Speakers include:

Cassandra is Pouako Museum Educator at Te Whare Taonga o Waikato She is passionate about mātauranga Māori, te taiao, our taonga (tangible and intangible) and our changing environment. Cassandra worked for 15 years as a university lecturer (specialising in Maaori, indigenous and BIPOC contemporary art), and is inspired by the growth and transformation our tamariki are capable of every day.
