This Zoom hui, presented in partnership with Te Pū Manaaki New Zealand Conservators of Cultural Materials (NZCCM) and National Services Te Paerangi, focuses on managing hazardous collection items, with expert presentations on poison books and cellulose nitrate film in collections.

Speakers Laura Mirebeau and Mark Strange will share insights from their work identifying, assessing, and preserving these materials, followed by an interactive Q&A session in a safe, informal discussion environment.

The session is a valuable opportunity for anyone working with library, archive, and museum collections to learn more about these common but serious hazards.
