This National Services Te Paerangi workshop is delivered in collaboration with Canterbury Museum for Service IQ trainees enrolled in the New Zealand Certificate in Museum Practice and museum professionals wanting to learn more about tikanga Māori in museums.
This workshop will cover:
The responsibilities of museums to tangata whenua in regards to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Contemporary Māori social structures and concepts and how they impact museum practice
Māori cultural customs and how they can be woven into collection services, processes, and public programmes.

This workshop will be facilitated by National Services Te Paerangi with the support of tangata whenua.
