Every year, talented tamariki from several kura from the Hutt Valley and Wellington perform at Te Papa, exhibiting their pride for their culture and language.

Five primary schools – Fernlea, Wainuiomata, Kelson, Korokoro, and Kōnini – and three kindergartens – Tai Tamariki, Katoa, and Toru Fetū – will be on stage to show their skills with performance, colour, and music – kids' size.

This year’s Tamariki Kapa Haka is dedicated to Bridgett Reid, one of the kaiako of Tai Tamariki Kindergarten, who recently passed away.
