Ko ēnei manu e rua, ka hou ki roto i te whenua noho ai i te ngahuru
In the autumn the two birds dig into to the earth to live.

This whakataukī speaks to the koekoeā and the pīpīwharauroa going close to the ground to understand what happens in our natural world during the changing of the seasons.

This month, as the season turns into ngahuru we will be looking close to the ground and learning about the native fungi of Aotearoa with a fun, interactive activity.

Tamariki must be accompanied by a caregiver at all times.
