Te Huka ā Tai, Level 4

Celebrate te ao Māori at Te Huka ā Tai Discovery Centre. Prepare a hāngi, and play with games and puzzles. Take time out with a pukapuka in the comfy reading nook, or explore the taonga on display.

Karetao-puoro

Visit three karetao-puoro (singing Māori puppets) created by artist James Webster to give karetao a voice by incorporating taonga puoro into their design. Watch the whānau of karetao in action in Tokotū (Rise Up), the story of Ranginui and Papatūānuku.
