“The Wallace Collection is the greatest art school in this country”
– Vivienne Westwood

As the high priestess of the Punk movement of the 1970s, the last place Westwood could be expected to have found inspiration was in one of the greatest repositories of aristocratic excess – London’s Wallace Collection. In this talk art historian David Maskill examines the impact of French eighteenth-century paintings, furniture and porcelain on Westwood’s rich post-Punk career.
